NAMI is designated by the HK Government as a R&D Center for nanotechnology and advanced materials. We undertake and support market-driven research and strive for commercialization of the technologies to benefit the industry and the society, promoting the economic growth and sustainability of HK.
We focus on technology development in the areas of waste recycling, food and beverage, air and water purification, functional coatings, as well as green building materials and technologies, for a sustainable future. NAMI’s current effort is to develop innovative biodegradable and recyclable packaging materials for both food & beverage (F&B) and logistics industries. NAMI is also applying recycling, sanitization, and extraction technologies to the F&B industry to reduce waste and improve food preservation and safety. In the areas of building and construction, we manipulate our super concrete, sustainable pavement materials technology, functional coating and repair materials technologies to promote green and sustainable building.
