Overview

The workshop will discuss the standards, policies and incentives necessary to assist existing buildings in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area to achieve decarbonisation, environmental resiliency and social innovation.

Learnings

  • Understand the current socio-economic conditions of existing buildings
  • Discover the possible standards, policies and incentives to assist the environmental and well-being of existing buildings
  • Learn about what the improvement of existing buildings means for ESG, green finance and SDG

Property development and management play an important role in the path to carbon neutrality. To achieve this goal, I shall stay ahead of evolving engineering trends to exceed user expectations in terms of sustainability and livability.

Leading WSP’s Property and Buildings with over 30 years of professional experience, Colin CHUNG is a renowned expert on MEP planning, design and management for a full spectrum of industrial, commercial, residential, transport and infrastructure projects, specialising in the design of green and sustainable building. He has been contributing to the green building movement and pathway to achieving net zero through serving in key roles at Hong Kong Green Building Council, BEAM Society and Hong Kong Association of Energy Engineers.

She is the co-author of “Tackling Double Ageing with Double Smart” article which won the HKIP Awards in 2019 and is the Project Lead of DISI’s Intergenerational Play Space and Community Planning in an Age-friendly Community.

Ms. Joy Song is overall responsible for the CECEPEC’s sustainability and ESG advisory businesses for financial and non-financial large-scale and listed companies. She is the Co-chair of ESG WG of HKGFA, leading varieties of initiatives facilitating the green and sustainable finance development in Hong Kong. She is a member of the climate-related Technical Expert Group of the HKSFC, and provides policymaking advices in ESG and sustainable finance fields for regulators in both Mainland China and Hong Kong. She is also a Member of the ESG & Sustainable Investment Committee of HKINEDA.
