Overview

In this workshop, ELEVATE will explore the current supply chain risk landscape and how it has been impacted by COVID-19, the trade wars, U.S. Withhold Release Orders (WRO) and emerging new legislation. This will be followed by an interactive discussion that explores (a) expectations for corporates and brands relating to risk management and due diligence (b) the role of data and analytics as a critical tool in sustainable sourcing program design and effectiveness.

Kevin leads our global consulting, product and analytics functions. He has 20 years’ experience advising business on global risks, analytics and management systems. This includes extensive senior level engagement with many of the world’s largest companies on corporate strategy, sustainability, metrics-driven risk management and award-winning integrated reporting.

Prior to ELEVATE, Kevin was the Chief Operating Officer of Verisk Maplecroft where he also oversaw the product and supply chain management practice. This included work on supply chain strategy, organizational resilience, responsible sourcing, human rights due diligence and compliance across a range of sectors including consumer goods, manufacturing, electronics and extractives.

Kevin has a Master’s degree in Policy and Planning, and a PhD from Warwick Business School with a focus on systems theory, collaborative decision-making, and the role of data / analytics in performance management. He is an experienced auditor and has authored numerous reports / delivered key note sessions at numerous high-level international fora.

Sarah oversees ELEVATE’s supply chain related sustainability projects in the Asia Pacific region. Sarah has worked with factories, vendors and international brands to support them in their sustainability journey. Her experience covers factory auditing, capacity building, risk assessments, strategy development as well as project implementation on-site.

Sarah joins ELEVATE from PFI Hong Kong where she was Head of Sustainability. While at PFI, Sarah oversaw the sustainability department’s audit and training services, focusing on chemical management in the footwear and synthetic leather industry. She also led the development of a new certification for products from ocean-bound plastic bottles. Earlier in her career Sarah worked with suPPPort ltd. to design and manage development aid funded projects across Asia. Projects ranged from setting up of training centers to increasing resource efficiency. Sarah has spent a number of years in Asian producing countries. In Indonesia and Bangladesh she worked for GIZ, C&A and van Laack on projects covering social compliance, productivity and traceability of materials.

Sarah is a textile engineer and holds a master’s degree in textile management from Germany. She is a certified ISO14001 Lead Auditor, holds a Six Sigma Green Belt, and is certified in ZDHC Chemical Management, and GRI Sustainability Reporting.
