Decarbonisation

Overview

With fashion considered to be responsible for 3-5% of global Greenhouse Gas Emissions, how does and can the apparel, footwear and textile industry decarbonise their supply chains at the speed needed to meet global commitments? What are the key areas for intervention, what tools and resources are available and how should the industry collaborate with key stakeholders to address this huge challenge?

  • How can the industry access developing breeds of sustainable finance to invest in solutions and equipment to accelerate the development of low-carbon supply chains?
  • How do lessons learnt from the apparel, footwear and textile sectors apply to the wider industry in terms of goal-setting and actioning on areas of intervention, while mapping progress?
