Lauren is the Director of the Circular Fashion Programme at Hong Kong environmental charity Redress, working to tackle the problem of clothing waste in Hong Kong by increasing the re-use, re-sale and recycling of clothing. The Programme empowers consumers and retailers by building local infrastructure to extend the life of clothing as well as through education and training to encourage positive use and disposal habits.

Vivek Ramachandran is the Chief Executive Officer of Serai, a new tech venture owned by HSBC. Based in Hong Kong, Serai is a B2B platform where buyers and suppliers can search and transact via trusted networks. Before Serai, Vivek was the Global Head of Growth & Innovation, at HSBC Commercial Banking. He was responsible for co-ordinating key strategic growth initiatives, exploring new business models and driving the adoption of new technologies. He was also the Global Head of Product for HSBC’s Trade & Receivables Finance business.
My Sustainability Goals for 2021:
I see technology as a critical enabler to businesses achieving their sustainability objectives. Our goal at Serai is to make it easier for businesses to build supply chain transparency and to act upon this information. We have started with the Fashion industry.
