Restoring the Climate One Meal at a Time

Day 2 - 6th Oct | 15:15 - 16:45

Location: Workshop A

Food & Nature

Overview

The food we eat and how we grow it is a major driver of climate change. In this workshop, we invite you to rethink the way we view food and explore how we can move towards restorative and climate-friendly diets and food systems.

Learnings

  • Rethinking the way we view food and where it comes from.
  • What do food labels tell us about the key ingredients in our favourite foods?
  • What are the health benefits of a balanced and nutritious diet?
  • How and where is food grown and processed today?
  • Why is there a need for our current food systems to change?

Post Event Actions

  • Be mindful of where food comes from and how it is produced.
  • Plan ahead when buying food and groceries so as to minimise food waste.
  • Choose healthier and more climate-friendly food choices (e.g. more vegetarian meals).
