Overview

Green Building is a major decarbonisation strategy of Hong Kong’s Climate Action Plan 2050. This session will feature success cases to demonstrate how master planning, smart designs and construction of neighbourhoods and residential spaces help escalate Hong Kong’s sustainability to the next level.

As a professional engineer with more than 30 years’ experience, Kenneth leads the MEP design of WSP in some the most iconic projects across the region. He also actively contributes to the green building movement by serving in professional institutions and task forces of government departments, including Hong Kong Green Building Council, BEAM Society Limited as well as Hong Kong’s Electrical and Mechanical Services Department and Buildings Department.

YU Ching Yan, Johnny, BSc, MBA, ACA, CFA, joined Henderson Land in 2020 as the advisor to Chairman. Prior to joining the company, Mr Yu held various senior positions with UBS, Credit Suisse and Price Waterhouse in both Hong Kong and London. He brought 27 years of extensive experience covering multiple disciplines including sales and marketing, investment advisory, accounting, tax, risk management and control, with his recent focus being digital transformation, innovation and sustainability. Mr Yu graduated from The London School of Economics and Political Science, University of London with a bachelor’s degree in Management Science and attained his MBA degree in Finance with City University of London. He is a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and Chartered Financial Analyst Institute.

My Sustainability Goals for 2022:

Following the global carbon emission reduction footprint, Henderson has formulated its 2030 vision in response to climate change issue, which is reflected in the sustainability strategy, categorized by four primary drivers G.I.V.E , I hope the public to pay attention on Sustainability issue and to achieve Hong Kong’s carbon neutrality commitment together.

Boris Lo is Chief of Project (Caroline Hill Road) in Hysan for the overall project management of the Caroline Hill Project – where a premium commercial building with community facilities will be developed.

Mr. Lo has over 22 years of project and design management experience, spanning cultural, institutional, commercial, and luxury residential projects. Sustainability has always been an essential and core part of the projects which he was involved throughout his career, such as the HKSAR government Tamar Development Project, The Mills, Airside and Cyberport Expansion Project etc.
