EnviroEvents (ReThink) Limited is proud to publish our first Sustainability Report (the “Report”), which comprehensively discloses our environmental, social, and governance strategy. In line with ReThink HK’s commitment to drive sustainable development in Hong Kong, this Report aims to not only stimulate debate across a wide group of stakeholders within the
industry, but also communicate the Company’s progress, challenges, and goals for the future.

Highlights of the report:

  1. Offsetting our emissions
    • Offset 108,539 kg CO₂eq from ReThink HK 2023 through partnerships with Kadoorie Farm & Botanic Garden (biochar production and native tree planting) and OneSeed (global reforestation).
  2. Significant Emission Reductions
    • Cut electricity consumption by 17.48% (vs. 2022) at the event venue (HKCEC) through energy-efficient practices like LED lighting and Grade 1 EMSD standards for equipment.
  3. Waste Minimization & Circular Practices
    • Recycled 67% of event waste, including 3,150 kg of cardboard and 881 kg of carpeting. Reused materials like bamboo lanyards (600 returned) and aluminium booths.
  4. Community & Youth Engagement
    • Donated HK$450,552 via the ReThink Foundation to support NGOs like Running in the Dark and Peace Generation.
    • Engaged 160+ student volunteers and ambassadors, offering sustainability workshops and networking opportunities.
  5. Supply Chain Sustainability
    • Required suppliers to submit Environmental Management Plans and weighted sustainability criteria at 35% in vendor assessments.
  6. Employee & Stakeholder Focus
    • Provided 68 hours of sustainability training to staff and fostered diversity (73% female workforce).
    • Conducted a materiality assessment with stakeholders, identifying key ESG topics like climate resilience and employee wellbeing.
