Katarina Ivarsson brings nearly two decades of experience of international business development, living and working in Hong Kong, where she has established herself as a distinguished leader in the fields of business and design.
As an award-winning business leader and designer, Katarina has led numerous high-profile Future design and research projects in Asia and Europe. Her executive roles have seen her steering initiatives for global giants such as Samsung, VISA, Kerry Logistics, Ericsson, IKEA and United Nations. Her leadership in these projects reflects her deep understanding of the intricate dynamics of both the Asian and European markets.
Katarina is passionate about community building and knowledge sharing. Since 2015, she has been a Member of the Board of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong and was appointed Vice Chair of same chamber in 2020. In this capacity, she advocates strongly for doing business in Hong Kong, underlining her commitment to fostering strong business ties between Sweden and Hong Kong.
In addition to her professional achievements, Katarina is a dedicated educator. She has served as a vesting scholar at HKUST Business School and the School of Design at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Her academic contributions are complemented by her active role as a speaker, author, and thought leader, where she shares her insights on emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, future forecasting, scenario planning, and design thinking, with a particular focus on business in Asia.

Envac from Sweden is the original inventor and leader in Pneumatic Waste Collection System “PWCS” (aka ARCS in HK). Over the 30 years of operating in Hong Kong, Envac has systems installed for Residential, Hospitals and Commercial uses. We have completed one of the most advanced system in Asia with integrated weighing function at AIRSIDE for mixed use in Kai Tak. The New Acute Hospital in Kai Tak is also going to have one of biggest system Envac has ever installed in health care for general waste and soiled linen to assure a high hygiene standard for the general publics in Hong Kong. Samy Choi is the Director of Envac in HK and he covers the company business in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and Malaysia.

Kim is the Senior Sustainability Manager for climate in H&M Group production with 20+ years in the fashion & apparel industry. His focus is on financing the transition to renewable electricity and the electrification of the textile industry. Convinced that the key to a quick energy transition to renewable is to fully integrate it into the business model. A special interest in spotting corporate greenwashing and the challenges companies have around not misleading their customers or consumers all while still showing progress.
Speaker’s Sustainability Goals for 2025:
For me, there is only one goal that matters and that is of course renewable electricity. Hong Kong is currently very low. It comes down to priorities within the sustainability agenda. The climate agenda is the most urgent and climate is all about energy.
