Supply Chain Decarbonization in Practice

12 Sep (Fri) Day 2 : 12:00 – 13:15

This interactive workshop begins with a climate quiz to refresh key climate science concepts and connect them to supply chain impacts. We expand the view beyond carbon to include water, waste, biodiversity, resource use, and social impact.

Participants will explore key GHG categories, involved departments, and stakeholders, before being introduced to a practical framework built around seven pillars of supply chain decarbonization.
Participants will then break out into groups with similar business types to identify concrete actions under each pillar. Each group shares their ideas, followed by best practices and real-world examples presented by the host.

The session concludes with a collective wrap-up and key takeaways to support next steps in decarbonising supply chains.

The main session will be conducted in English; break-out sessions will be conducted in English or Cantonese.

Learnings

  • Understand the link between climate science and the ecological impact of supply chains, including emissions, resource use, and environmental degradation.
