SGS was proud to be the main sponsor of 44west, a Swiss rowing team that won the World Toughest Row race and showed what’s possible when trust, performance, teamwork and sustainability unite.
Crossing began in December 2025 and after 4,800 kilometers of wind, rain and blazing sun, the team has crossed the Atlantic and claimed first place after rowing for 31 days.
With every stroke, the team also supported coral reef restoration, bringing their commitment to sustainability. They’re championing ocean regeneration by raising funds to restore coral reefs in partnership with the Swiss impact business rrreefs.
Through SGS IMPACT NOW solutions for Circularity and Nature, they’re also providing sustainability expertise and support for 44west’s work with rrreefs, enabling the regeneration of coral ecosystems and the protection of marine life – proving that performance and sustainability can go hand in hand.
