CharIN
CharIN, the organisation that developed the international battery charging standards CCS (Combined Charging System), MCS (Megawatt Charging System) and secure communication protocol ISO 15118-20. Those standards are used for land transport, mining, marine & aviation industry.
CharIN, the leading global association with over 300 members dedicated to promote interoperable charging.
Our sustainability goals for 2025:
- Accelerate global adoption of electric vehicles (EVs)—including two- and three-wheelers, passenger cars, mining equipment, and marine vessels—by implementing interoperable charging standards like CCS and MCS, while cutting CO2 emissions and advancing climate-neutral transportation worldwide.
- Design and Certify standardized, reliable, and user-friendly charging solutions to streamline EV infrastructure, reduce costs, and enhance accessibility for sustainable urban mobility.
- Support climate-neutral cities by scaling EV charging infrastructure, aligning with UN Sustainable Development Goal 11 to create inclusive, safe, and resilient urban environments
