Macau Institute for Corporate Social Responsibility in Greater China (MICSRGC)

The Macau Institute for Corporate Social Responsibility in Greater China (MICSRGC) is a non-profit organization with the vision of promoting CSR and sustainable development among enterprises in Macau, other regions in Greater China, and beyond. Through CSR-related research, academic activities and public events, we cultivate culture of social responsibility within the local and global communities.

Our sustainability goals for 2024:

For 2024, MICSRGC has identified several areas as our focal interests of developing our upcoming research initiatives, education programs and social engagements that probe into solutions towards sustainability, biodiversity and extinction accounting, which will include but not limited to the following agendas:
– Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and Education for Sustainable Development Goals (ESDG) in higher education institutions in Macau and beyond;
– Green and sustainable finance, the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), fintech, and solutions for incorporating ESG issues in these sectors;
– Biodiversity accounting and the metropolis: Intrinsic values of nature;
– Integrating sustainability and extinction accounting within urban metropolises: Latour’s notion of modernity;
– Normative framework for business responsibilities towards nature: advocating for nature’s rights in business decisions.
