Roles & Responsibilities of volunteers, details will be explained during the briefing session in early September
- Booth Support (limited quota) / Booth Area / Expo Area Support
– Support exhibitors by helping them to answer delegates’ enquiry
– Help answer delegates’ general enquiry about the event
- Conference App Support
– Answer delegates’ enquiries on everything about the event web app
- Conference MIC Runner
– Give the MIC to the speakers
– Take away extra MIC’s on the stage
– Pass MIC to audience if there’s in-person Q/A
- Conference Theatre Door Keeper & Delegate Welcome
– Scan delegate’s badge
– Monitor the queue outside the Theatres
– Invite delegates to get inside the Theatre and listen to the conference sessions
– Identify Speakers when they arrive at the Theatre entrance
- Speaker Support
– Assist speakers when they are in need
– Help the Theatre Manager to locate speakers for the next session
– Escort speakers to the stage
- Time Control
– Time keeping – make sure the conference runs within the scheduled time and control the timer
– When the session is about to end, signal the moderator/speaker
- Theatre Area Support
– Answer general enquiries raised by the audience
– Direct audience to have a seat in the front and middle of the Theatre
- VIP Support
– Assist with the VIP tour
– Any ad-hoc tasks assigned
- Workshop Support
– Make phone calls to registered workshop participants and remind them to attend the session on time
– Assist workshop participants to scan their badges
– Invite delegates to join workshop sessions if the capacity is not yet full
