Dr. Rick Mo

Head of Emerging Applications & Head of Business Development and Commercialisation

Dr. Mo Tiande is the Head of Business Development and Commercialisation Unit and the Head of Emerging Applications Unit at the Centre of Advanced Power and Autonomous Systems (APAS) of the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC). He is engaged in the research of cutting-edge technologies such as new energy vehicles, autonomous driving, human-machine interaction, hydrogen energy and fuel cells, and new materials etc. Dr. Mo has managed and participated in more than 50 innovative technology research projects and technical consultancy projects. He has published more than 20 academic papers and has more than 30 invention patents and utility model patents, as well as more than 20 international and local awards. He led his team to win the Best Paper Award in the 2022 Journal of Energy Storage, the Best Paper First Prize in the 2023 International Symposium on Nanotechnology and Smart Materials for Environmental Applications, the Silver Award in the 2024 Sixth APEC Energy Smart Community Initiative Best Practice Award Program in the Smart Energy Category, and the Best Paper Award in the 2025 Seventh Asia Energy and Electrical Engineering Symposium

Prof. Lingxiao Wu

Dr. Lingxiao Wu (Leo) is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Aeronautical and Aviation Engineering, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Prior to this, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at HEC Montreal, Canada. Dr. Wu received his PhD degree in Transportation Studies from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Dr. Wu is dedicated to improving the efficiency and sustainability of transportation systems by proposing innovative solutions using operations research and data analytics. Dr. Wu currently serves as a core member of The Research Centre for Low Altitude Economy (RCLAE) of PolyU.

Yachen Wu

Ehang Intelligent Equipment (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd.

Vice President

She currently serves as Vice President of EHang Intelligent Equipment (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd., with a focus on the low-altitude economy and urban air mobility (UAM) sectors. She proposed the concept of “urban airlines,” advocating for large-scale pilotless aircraft operations tailored to urban needs. She has developed a comprehensive “six-in-one” low-altitude operation model, integrating passenger transportation, patrols, deliveries, performances, firefighting, and rescue services, effectively advancing practical UAM applications.

In 2021, she served as a delegate at the 10th Congress of the Communist Youth League of Tianhe District.

In 2020, she was awarded the Silver Prize at the International “Internet+” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, where China’s Vice Premier Sun Chunlan personally visited and commended participants. Additionally, she received the Sustainable Development Award at the United Nations Urban Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition and the Gold Prize at the Guangdong Provincial “Internet+” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. she also earned the Silver Prize in the Guangdong Provincial “Challenge Cup” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition organized by the Communist Youth League of Guangdong Province.

In 2019, she won the Silver Prize at the China International “Internet+” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition in Guangdong Province and was honored with the Qinglan Talent Award under the Qinglan Program.

In 2016, she was named the Tourism Ambassador of Sichuan Province.

In 2015, she achieved the first place in the Guangdong Provincial Television Speech Competition for the “Southern Guangdong Great Wall Cup.”
