Honorary Advisor
Ir Chris Chong is the Honourary Advisor of the Energy Institute EI (Hong Kong). He is the International Vice President of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) in the UK.
He is currently the Chief Operating Officer of Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI), one of the leading research organization in Hong Kong.
Chris has been working in the energy infrastructure sector for more than 30 years, with hands-on experience in mission critical & energy projects in CLP and Veolia in China, Macau, Hong Kong, and Singapore.
Chris is a Chartered Engineer (CEng), Fellow Member of HKIE, EI and IMechE, and a Certified Energy Manager (CEM). He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
Chris has been recognized for his contributions, having received the Distinguished Sustainability Leader Award 2019 from the Hong Kong Management Association (HKMA). He has also served as an examiner for the HKMA Sustainability Awards in recent years.
