Ian Wong

Mr. Ian Wong is the General Manager of Commercial Fuels and CV Sales for Hong Kong and Macau. He oversees the Commercial Vehicles segment under the Esso brand petrol stations, as well as the Commercial Fuels business serving the transportation, construction, and industrial sectors. Ian is also actively driving the adoption of lower-emission fuels and sustainable energy solutions, including Esso renewable diesel across both retail and commercial channels.

Ian began his career in Mobil Oil Hong Kong Limited as Management Trainee and joined the sales team after Exxon-Mobil Merger, in different roles across ExxonMobil’s business lines, including Chemical, Lubricants, and Fuels for Hong Kong and South China.

In the mid-2010s, Ian transitioned into marketing, serving as Product Offer Advisor for lubricants in Asia Pacific. He later took on roles as Channel Offer Manager and Brand Manager for North Asia Pacific. Since 2021, he has led Loyalty and Card Programs for Hong Kong/Macau and Asia Pacific respectively.

Ian is a member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong (AmCham) and serves on the Sustainable Living Environment Advisory Group (SLE AG) of the Business Environment Council (BEC).

He holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and a Master of Engineering from Cornell University, both in Chemical Engineering.
