Maria Blanca

María Blanca is a qualified Chartered Accountant (ACCA) with Double Degree in International & European Business from France and Mexico. With over 15 years of experience working with banks and MNCs in Europe and Asia, María has acquired extensive management accounting and budgeting knowledge. She has also specialised in ESG and B-corp framework. Previously she has successfully established strategic alliances for multiple international companies in ASEAN. María also held positions as CFO and Finance Director with SME’s in Hong Kong. She contributed her knowledge in corporate governance and financial controlling to assist companies in achieving business goals.

My Sustainability Goals for 2021:

1. To increase the representation and inclusion of women in the workforce. Eliminate unconscious bias and stereotypes by providing training and assisting companies in implementing higher criteria around HR procedures and policies such as hiring, promotion and appraisal reviews. Create more inclusive workplaces where quotas are not the primary driver, rather implementing these changes at their overall core objectives.

2. To drive a positive impact in the workforce by implementing more creative and tailored D&I strategies that can trigger a more inclusive and diverse organisational culture.

3. Create corporate awareness and keep working with the government in addressing gender equality issues, especially around working mothers.
