The Hong Kong Green Material Research Company Ltd. (HKGMR), incorporated in 2021. HKGMR undertakes and provides support for market-driven research in recycled and sustainable materials, and strives for commercialisation of the technologies to benefit the industry and the society at large, as well as re-industrialisation to promote the economic growth and sustainability of Hong Kong.

Our sustainability goals for 2025:

1. Zero-Chemical Innovation Initiative
Phase out all solvent-based coatings in production by Q1 2025, launching the world’s first 100% water-based, non-toxic surface treatment technology on rPVB Leather Altnerative
2. Energy Independence Milestone
Increase solar energy coverage to 60% across manufacturing sites by 2025. Reduce energy consumption per square meter of product by 30%.
3. Cross-Industry Sustainability Partnership
Launch an open innovation platform by 2025 to help 5 industries (automotive, furniture, fashion) transition to rPVB alternatives, collectively eliminating 1,000 tons of virgin plastic use.
