With responsible sourcing, various sustainable products of energy, air, and water saving, and waste reduction, we’re paving the way for more sustainable homes for the many.
Our sustainability goals for 2023:
At global level, IKEA has set the climate goals for 2030 and 2050 as our guiding principles:
(1) IKEA aims to becoming climate positive by reducing more greenhouse gas emissions than our value chain emits by 2030;
(2) IKEA aims to reach net zero for the entire value train by 2050.
At local level, IKEA Hong Kong, as part of DFI Retail Group, we have 3 Focus Areas as our guiding approaches:
(1) Serving communities: to reduce hunger, reduce cost of living, and raise self-esteem
(2) Sustaining the planet: to reduce plastic usage, reduce food waste, reduce energy use, and eliminate harmful refrigerants
(3) Sourcing responsibly: to improve animal welfare, improve human welfare, and improve land welfare
