The Research Centre for Resources Engineering towards Carbon Neutrality (RCRE) aims to be a Centre of Excellence in research on recycling various types of waste materials to help reduce carbon dioxide emissions for achieving carbon neutrality.

Our sustainability goals for 2025:

1. Continuously conduct research to develop cutting-edge technologies for recycling wastes;
2. Promote the commercialisation of technologies that RCRE has developed; and
3. Support initiatives in promoting Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area as models of resources engineering towards circular economy
