GIFT will be hosting our 9th annual flagship Hong Kong Young Leaders Programme (HKYLP) in October 2023. The HKYLP is a platform for high-potential executives from public, private and civil society sectors to engage in purposeful leadership learning whilst developing new ideas to support Hong Kong’s growth and development
The last few years have taught us that Hong Kong young professionals yearn for purpose-driven and intellectually stimulating opportunities. Organisations are also seeking to help their leaders gain a better understanding of China and prepare them for the changes Hong Kong and the region are experiencing.
What sets the HKYLP apart is its unique blend of intellectual stimulation, purpose-driven engagement, and exclusive networking opportunities. Participants will engage with thought leaders, industry experts, and fellow executives who share a passion for sustainable development and shaping the future of Hong Kong.
This year, participants will be working on a policy project on the theme of “Reimagining High-Quality Development in Hong Kong”. One of the focus areas will be on “Integrating Climate Mitigation and Adaptation Strategies”. As Hong Kong prepares for the reality of global climate change, it is vital to integrate climate mitigation and adaptation strategies across the city’s current and future development. This year participants will explore and formulate the significant opportunities to design and implement climate mitigation and adaptation strategies across all sectors that are people-centered, attractive for investment, and cost-effective.
