The Hong Kong Council of Social Service will host the “S+ Summit cum Expo 2024” on 2nd – 3rd May at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. This event aims to bring together approx. 4,000 stakeholders from various sectors to address social issues within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), to engage cross-sectoral stakeholders in discussions and co-creation, and to establish a sustainable and livable Hong Kong through impactful and innovative solutions.
Event Highlights:
- Keynote and symposium on 2nd May: The keynote speakers from the National Academy of Governance PRC and Social Innovation Exchange from UK will share insights into the pressing socio-economic challenges and upcoming opportunities we face. How the financial sector, business sector, and social welfare sector collaborate to advance philanthropic development in Hong Kong.
- Policy Dialogue and Panel Discussion on 3rd May: “Emerging Trends in Asian Philanthropy and Impact Investing: Opportunities and Challenges” This session is co-organised by the Financial Services Development Council (FSDC) and HKCSS, which focuses on examining the emerging trends in philanthropy and impact investment in the Asia-Pacific region.
- 11 Breakout Sessions feature the global trends such as technology advancement, climate change, and the development of the Greater Bay Area and their implications for social services in Hong Kong.
- Around 140 exhibitors will showcase a diverse range of projects and collaboration opportunities including donations, volunteering opportunities, and social investment.
