Dr CHEUNG is the Chairman of the Hong Kong Green Building Council. He is also an Adjunct Professor at the City University of Hong Kong and the Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong and is a member of the Executive Committee of the Construction Industry Council, the Private Columbaria Licensing Board, the Expanded Building Committee of the Buildings Department, the Project Board for New Railway Projects of the Transport and Logistics Bureau, and the Independent Railway Expert Advisory Committee for New Railway Projects of the Transport and Logistics Bureau. He served as an Honorary Professor in the Department of Building and Real Estate at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) and is a recipient of the Outstanding PolyU Alumni Award in Professional Achievement.

Dr CHEUNG holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Estate Management from the University of Reading, UK, a Master of Science Degree in Construction Management from the University of Bath, UK, and a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Fire Engineering from the City University of Hong Kong. He has professional qualifications in building surveying, property management and facility management. He is a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors, a Registered Professional Surveyor (BS), and an Honorary Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Facility Management.

Dr CHEUNG was previously Director of Buildings in the HKSAR Government and received the Silver Bauhinia Star Award in 2019 for his dedicated and meritorious service to the Government, particularly in promoting building safety and a sustainable built environment in Hong Kong.

Jonathan Chiu is President of Schneider Electric Hong Kong. He currently heads the company’s Management Committee responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, operational delivery and business development for Schneider Electric in Hong Kong and Macau.
Since joining Schneider Electric two decades ago, Jonathan has held leadership roles in various business divisions within the organization. An experienced leader in energy management and automation, Jonathan is passionate about leveraging the power of digitization and innovation in delivering a holistic ecosystem approach to sustainable transformation. His years of experience in process and energy technologies, end-point to cloud connecting products, controls, software and services have been instrumental in elevating Schneider Electric’s reach and impact for homes, buildings, data centers, infrastructure and industries in Hong Kong.
Jonathan currently serves on the Board of Directors at the Business Environment Council, and was named Sustainability Leader of the Year at the HKMA Hong Kong Sustainability Award 2023.
He holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Hong Kong, an MBA from the City University of Hong Kong, and an MBA from Kellogg-HKUST Executive MBA Program.

Ir Dr Bruce Chong is a Fellow and Director of Arup, leading City Advisory, Climate and Urban Sustainability services in East Asia, working with various clients across this region on carbon neutrality, climate resilience, smart city, city informatics, sustainable infrastructure and circular economy. Bruce is a Cambridge Overseas Scholar, a fellow member of HKIE, ICE, CIBSE and IET,  as well as being committee members of various organisations such as the Director of HK Green Building Council (HKGBC), co-Chairman of Real Estate Working Group in the HK Green Finance Association (HKGFA), Vice Chairman of Real Estate & Infrastructure Committee of Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce (HKGCC), Committee Member of ESG Group of the Financial Service Development Council (FSDC), Working Group Member on Engineering & Climate Change of the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO) etc., using his knowledge to drive cross-sector collaboration, create values and generate momentum of change for the industry, example being the Smart-Green-Resilient framework which has now been adopted by all the strategic planning projects in HK.

As the Director of Schneider Electric Hong Kong’s Digital Energy, Power Products and Industrial Automation, Travis Kan drives the company’s energy management and industrial automation businesses via strategic initiatives, digital solutions, marketing, and partnerships. He serves as a trusted partner in delivering solutions towards carbon neutrality, working closely with end users, consultants and contractors to bring the latest innovations to the market.
Travis is a strong business development professional with a wealth experience in the energy industry. His previous roles span Engineering, Sales & Marketing, Business Development and General Management. Prior to re-joining Schneider Electric in 2023, he worked with leading companies, including General Electric and CLP, gaining a comprehensive pool of solid experience in power generation, transmission and distribution, control and automation, building energy management, and digital solutions.

A Fellow of The Energy Institute in the United Kingdom, Travis also serves as a part-time guest lecturer for various universities in Hong Kong.

Raymond is trained as mechanical engineer and qualified as HKIE corporate member (MHKIE) and Registered Professional Engineer (RPE), currently as General Manager – Environmental Science at Chinachem Group, leading building services, sustainability and innovations in new projects.

A pioneer in adopting BIM technologies and innovative MEP systems such as digital twin and robotic technologies in built environment, Raymond has rich experiences in design and implementation of building services, energy optimization, sustainability and innovation technology application. He was the project leader in prestigious sustainable projects such as One Taikoo Place & Six Pacific Place. He is now leading two projects of the group – Tung Chung Business Hub and Kwai Chung Cold Storage Logistics Centre.

Ir KO Wong is a professional with over 20 years of experience in building services engineering and energy management. He currently serves as the Deputy Director of Business Sales at CLP Power, where he is responsible for overseeing commercial and industrial customers within the company’s supply territories. Prior to his current role, Ir Wong worked at Johnson Controls and Otis, where he oversaw service operations and gained extensive experience in the design and retrofit of various building services systems, as well as the implementation of energy management solutions to enhance the building efficiency.

Ir Wong is committed to driving and delivering quality energy conservation programs and solutions to building owners and operators, supporting their decarbonization ambitions and helping them achieve their sustainability goals.

Rosaline Lau serves as the Executive Director of Building Engineering (Structural) at AECOM, where she leads building structure projects and ESG initiatives for the Asia Building and Places division. Her vision is to integrate ESG principles to create thriving communities and contribute to a better world. Recently, she showcased her enthusiasm by serving as a judge at the 2024 SustainabilityHACK, jointly organized by MIT Hong Kong Innovation Node, Innospace, and the Construction Industry Council.

Rosaline has also recently presented at the technical seminar on Effective Use of High Strength Steel S690 organized by the Chinese National Engineering Research Centre for Steel Construction (Hong Kong Branch), the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the Hong Kong Constructional Metal Structures Association, for the pioneering use of S690 high strength structural steel in Hong Kong’s private residential development. This groundbreaking work will be resulted in significant benefits to the environment, including enhanced efficiency, reduced carbon footprint, and optimized site logistics.

Rosaline has also recently become Co-opted Member in The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers’ Structural Division. Ir Harry LAI, BBS is the Executive Director of the Hong Kong Green Building Council. He was the Principal Advisor of the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) from 2019 to 2023. Prior to his retirement from the civil services in 2019, Ir LAI was the Deputy Director/Regulatory Services of EMSD responsible for overseeing the enforcement of regulatory functions and implementation of various initiatives on electrical, mechanical, gas and railway safety as well as energy efficiency and conservation. Ir LAI had represented Hong Kong, China (HKC) to attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Energy Working Group (EWG) meetings.

Ir LAI received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Master of Science degree in Environmental Management, both from the University of Hong Kong. He is a chartered engineer, a fellow member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) and also the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), UK. He had served as Chairman of the HKIE Nuclear Division, Secretary of the HKIE Electrical Disciplinary Advisory Panel, and also Member of the HKIE Fellowship Committee. Ir LAI is the Adjunct Professor of the School of Energy and Environment, City University of Hong Kong and the Adjunct Professor of the Research Institute for Smart Energy, Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Alvan Wong is the Assistant General Manager, Projects at Hysan Development Co. Ltd. In this role, he manages key projects in the prestigious Lee Garden Areas, including a large-scale commercial development at Caroline Hill Road in Causeway Bay. Alvan is committed to achieving the highest standards, particularly in sustainability and wellness, across his projects.

With over 20 years of experience in project management and architectural planning, Alvan has worked on commercial, residential, and hospitality developments both in China and Hong Kong. Prior to joining Hysan, he held the role of Assistant General Manager, Project Management at Henderson Land Development Co. Ltd. Alvan has also worked at other reputable firms such as Wong & Ouyang (HK) Ltd. and Citic Pacific Limited.
Alvan holds a master’s degree and a bachelor’s degree in architecture from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is a Registered Architect, an Authorized Person (Architect), and a member of The Hong Kong Institute of Architects. Additionally, Alvan is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and BEAMPro.

1. Promote the adoption of new technologies to leverage the advantages of mass production of MiMEP modules for better quality through standardized, productized and low-carbon modular building solutions that drive greener construction.
2. Encourage all industry practitioners to adopt MiMEP in design and installation for safety, constructability, and sustainability.

Dr Daniele Gambero, an Italian expatriate in Malaysia since 1998, is a prominent entrepreneur and investor in the property and PropTech sectors. As Group CEO and co-founder of REI Group, Propenomy.com, Athena SmartCities, Aivot, and anybodyAHOME, he has pioneered affordable housing solutions through digital transformation and innovative financing.

His work includes significant partnerships with research institutions, think tanks, and government agencies, addressing urban challenges with his Propenomy model.

Within the property ecosystem, he advocates improvements aligned with SDG-2030 and ESG compliance. His commitment extends to urban sustainability goals such as affordable education, gender equality, clean energy, innovation, and inclusive & sustainable cities.

An influential figure in the global PropTech, Dr Gambero is the President of Malaysia PropTech Association, council member of Malaysia Business Angel Network, a mentor for startups and frequent judge in pitching competitions, the bestselling author of Malaysian Propenomy and a sought-after international speaker.

His contributions have earned him multiple awards and recognition as a Marketing, Sustainability, Property and PropTech expert.

Improved inclusivity of affordable housing project, more transparent tendering process in the construction industry, in general (not limited to Hong Kong) I’m supporting a stronger impact of women in the proptech ecosystem.

Grace is a seasoned sustainability professional with a background in environmental engineering. As the recipient of the 2023 APEC Bio-Circular-Green Award, Grace is a keen advocate of regenerative sustainability for the built environment with 20+ years’ experience in sustainable design and green building projects in Hong Kong, China, and across Asia-Pacific. She is currently the Director of the Hong Kong Green Building Council, Founding Vice President of the Greater Bay Area Carbon Neutrality Association, and Council Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Qualified Environmental Professionals. Grace is also the Co-Chair of the Real Estate Working Group under the Hong Kong Green Finance Association. Outside Hong Kong, she has led AEC Group to become WorldGBC’s Asia Pacific Net Zero Collaborator while sharing best practices through her roles in the GRESB Real Estate Standards Committee, LEED Technical Advisory Group, BRE ESG Advisors Club and IWBI Health Equity Advisory. Grace works with the real estate and finance sectors through ESG and Green Finance advisory to build climate resilience and accelerate net-zero transition.

To accelerate our own net zero transition, we have been striving to achieve our goal of net zero carbon business operation by 2030. I hope to see a clearer decarbonization roadmap for different sectors and how cross-sectoral collaboration could be facilitated to achieve the carbon neutrality goal.

Andy Yeung is Director and Head of Technical Services of Hongkong Land. He joined Hongkong Land in 2010 and is responsible for technical services management and green building management for the Group.

Mr Yeung is a Chartered Engineer with more than 30-years of experience in project management, technical services, energy management, sustainability management, and green building management. Before joining Hongkong Land, Mr Yeung worked for Hysan, where he was a Head of Technical Services. Before that, he was a Technical Manager at MTR Corporation.

Mr Yeung graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Environmental Management.

Etienne has been working in the construction industry for more than 15 years. First as a structural designer in France on landmark projects, he joined the Bouygues group with Dragages in Macau in 2014. Etienne developed structural and construction strategies for complex projects in Macau, Singapore and Manila, using advanced modelling in BIM and parametric design.
He settled in 2018 in Hong Kong to focus on tenders, working to deliver innovative solutions to an ambitious range of projects.
As Head of Digital, Innovation and Transformation of Dragages Hong Kong since 2021, Etienne is leading a profound a rapid change towards simple and intelligent solutions on sites, for safer, greener, more effective construction.

Iris Hoi has over 30 years of experience practicing landscape architecture. She is a Director at URBIS Limited and has been with the company since 1992. She has undertaken over 200 projects many of which have won awards. Iris is the Immediate Past President of the Hong Kong Institute of Landscape Architects serving the term from 2018 to 2022. She remains active in the community on liveable environment and quality outdoor spaces issues.

Ir Wallace LIN is General Manager, Technical Services & Sustainable Development of Swire Properties Limited. He currently oversees the overall development of the Company’s Sustainable Development, formulates and executes plans including the Company’s SD2030 strategy, digitalisation in energy management, stakeholder engagement in ESG impacts, Science-based Targets and climate risk assessments, etc.

Wallace is a Chartered Engineer, Fellow of The Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers and Institution of Mechanical Engineers, and Member of The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, and currently Director of Hong Kong Green Building Council and Steering Committee Member of the Sustainable Living Environment Advisory Group of Business Environment Council.

Samuel KWONG is the Senior Associate Director – ESG of Chinachem Group with over 25 years of experience in sustainability with multinational conglomerates covering businesses including sports & entertainment, food & beverages, aviation, hospitality, real estate, retail, shipping & infrastructure developments. He is a director of HKIQEP, past Chairman of CIWEM HK & former director of HKGBC & HKBEC. Sam is an engineer by training with bachelor and master degrees from The University of Hong Kong and a master degree of environmental engineering from ENTPE, France, MBA degree from the Chinese University Hong Kong and a degree of laws from the University of London.

Shirley Chen is at the helm of AECOM’s Buildings + Places division in Hong Kong, and is spearheading digital innovation across Asia in the same sector. Her two-decade long career has broadened from a landscape architecture background into a multi-disciplinary one, encompassing an array of design and engineering disciplines.

Shirley is adept at navigating intricate business challenges while promoting a culture of creativity, innovation, and sustainability among her team. She has partnered with governments and top-tier developers to bring to fruition landmark projects, including large-scale municipal initiatives, social infrastructure, new development areas, iconic commercial complexes, luxury hotels, upscale residential landscapes, and streetscapes. Her leadership has earned recognition for both her and the projects under her charge from numerous industry bodies.

A proponent of digital innovation and cross-disciplinary collaboration to accelerate the creation of sustainable legacies for clients and the communities they serve, Shirley adopts an integrated approach, merging planning, urban design, engineering, landscape design, and economics consulting in her work. Her effort extends to fostering regional and global collaboration across Hong Kong, Mainland China, Southeast Asia, Middle East, and the United States, encouraging a rich exchange of ideas and delivering excellent projects.

Shirley is also active contributor to her field, having been invited as an industry expert on various platforms including ULI GBA and InnoSpace GBA’s Green Future Innovation Think Tank. She has mentored postgraduate students from CUHK in urban design at their “New” New Town project for Venice Biennale 2023, which explores future urbanism in Hong Kong. A staunch advocate for workplace equity, diversity and inclusion, Shirley’s dedication to nurturing female leadership is exemplified by her mentorship role in The Women’s Foundation’s Mentoring Programme for Women Leaders for the 2023-2024 cohort.

Ar. Clarence LEUNG is General Manager (Project Management) of Wheelock Properties. He possesses over 30 years of professional experience in real estate development and related fields in Hong Kong and mainland China.

Ar. Leung has been a Director of the HKGBC and a Council Member of the Construction Industry Council (CIC) since 2022. He is currently Chairperson of the Management Committee on Technically Competent Persons Registration Scheme and Chairperson of the Committee on Environment and Sustainability under CIC. Mr. Leung is also a member of the Construction Sub-committee, Real Estate Developers’ Association.

Ar. Leung is a fellow member of the HKIA, an Authorized Person and a Registered Architect in Hong Kong. He is currently Deputy Chair of Paper 7, Professional Accreditation Panel of the HKIA. He graduated from the University of Hong Kong with B.A.(A.S.) and B.Arch Degrees.

Meiling Ng is the Assistant General Manager, Projects of Hongkong Land Limited. She has over 25 years’ working experience in the property development and management industry. She is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors.

Eddie has more than 26 years experience in construction and environmental field and specializes in sediment and land contamination assessment and remediation, carbon/energy management, renewable energy projects and waste/asbestos management.

He is the vice chairman of Environment Committee, Hong Kong Construction Association and member of Climate Change Business Forum of the Business Environment Council. He was appointed as a construction advisor in development of Construction Industry Council Carbon Assessment Tool and Sustainable Finance Certification scheme.  He is also appointed by Hong Kong Green Building Council to be a co-opted member of the Sustainable Development Committee, Climate Change Framework for Built Environment Embodied Carbon Expert Group member and Green Product Market Taskforce member.  Eddie is a member of UK CARES Assured Steel Certification Sustainability Technical Committee.

Eddie graduated in Chemical Engineering from the University of British Columbia in Canada, and has a Master of Science (Major in Environmental Engineering) degree from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Mr Rex Wong Siu-han, JP is the CEO of Kum Shing Group, which actively participates in decarbonization-related projects. He is currently a member of Hong Kong Housing Authority, Construction Industry Council (“CIC”), Occupational Safety and Health Council, Steering Committee of New Energy Transport Fund and the Council of the City University of Hong Kong. He also serves as a Board member of CIC-Zero Carbon Park, member of CIC’s Committee on Environment and Sustainability, as well as the First Vice-President of Hong Kong Construction Association. Mr. Wong is a qualified BEAM Pro, LEED AP and a registered architect in the USA.

Pak Yin CHOI is a Project Engagement Specialist – Sustainability & Innovation at the World Economic Forum. Ir Prof. Dan Tsang is a Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and Pao Yue-Kong Chair Professor in the State Key Laboratory of Clean Energy Utilisation at Zhejiang University in China. Dan was a Professor and MSc Programme Leader at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Visiting Professor at the University of Queensland in Australia and Chulalongkorn University in Thailand, Visiting Scholar at Stanford University in the US and IMETE Scholar at Ghent University in Belgium, and postdoctoral fellow at Imperial College London in the UK. He has more than 20 years of R&D experience, published more than 500 articles in top 10% journals, and was selected as Stanford University’s Top 2% Scientists and Clarivate’s Highly Cited Researchers in the academic fields of Engineering as well as Environment & Ecology. Dan’s team aspires to develop green technologies for long-term decarbonisation and promote resources circularity and sustainable development. Ms. Theresa Wu has over 25 years’ experience in the planning, design and project management of large-scale waste-to-energy/resources recovery infrastructures, including the Integrated Waste Management Facilities (I PARK1 & I PARK2) and the Organic Resources Recovery Centre Phase 1 (O PARK1).  She has also involved in the formulation and implementation of various waste reduction and environmental policies.  Before joining the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, she was a consulting engineer responsible for drainage and sewerage master plan studies, upgrading of wastewater treatment plants, design of sewerage network for the development of Hong Kong Disneyland.

I hope the waste reduction and recycling targets set forth under the Waste Blueprint for Hong Kong 2035 could be gradually achieved so as to build Hong Kong into a liveable and sustainable city.

Dora is the Deputy Head of Property Management in CBRE Advisory Hong Kong Ltd. She has over 20 years of experience in Property and Facilities Management industry. Before joining CBRE, she worked in several esteemed companies with headquarters located in Hong Kong, UK and US. Dora is currently the Secretary for the IFMA Hong Kong Chapter had been serving various key roles in the Chapter since 2013. Dora was awarded as Winner of Asia Pacific Facility Manager of the Year 2021.

Sandeep Sethi is the President of Work Dynamics, Asia Pacific, for JLL. This includes all products for corporate occupiers – Workplace Management Services, Project Management, Transactions Advisory, Lease Management, & Workplace Consulting. In his current role, he is responsible for providing strategic direction to the business with a focus on strengthening client relationships, new business and ensuring excellence in service delivery. He keenly advocates skill development, D&I, technology applications in real estate, and sustainability.

Mr Alan SIU Yu Bun is currently the Chief Executive Officer of the Property Management Services Authority. He has served the civil service for 36 years in various bureau and departments, including the former City and New Territories Administration, the former Transport Branch, the former Television and Entertainment Licensing Authority, the former Finance Branch, the former Information Technology and Broadcasting Bureau, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and the Home Affairs Bureau. He was Deputy Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development (Communications and Technology) from 2007 to 2011 and Government Property Administrator until 2015. Before joining the PMSA, Mr SIU was Director of Administration and Development of the Department of Justice from 2015 to 2019.

Jonathan is the General Manager for Strategic Partnerships in Asia at City Facilities Management. He is responsible for expanding the number of partners working with City in the region and implementing City’s unique partnership model that provides an end-to-end solution for the design, delivery, and maintenance of facilities in accordance with the sustainability and business goals of the partner organization.

Prior to joining City FM, Jonathan was Regional Partnerships Manager for The Commons Project, a non-for-profit health technology start up that provided vaccine verification services to airlines, airports and governments. Before that role, Jonathan was on the Swire management program for 10 years seconded to Cathay Pacific where he took up several roles across 5 countries such as Country Manager Israel and Head of Digital Innovation for Airports.

My Sustainability Goals for 2024:

Since last year it has been really positive to see the actions the government have taken with regards to creating policies to reduce the use of HFCs and HCFCs in Hong Kong by ~80% by 2030. It is now up to businesses to prepare for those policies being enacted from 2025 onwards.

As such, my primary sustainability goal for the coming year is to help businesses with large refrigeration or air-conditioning requirements plan for the upcoming phase down. My goal is to partner with businesses to ensure their transition to a low-carbon operating environment is done correctly, to ensure sustainable operating success both from a carbon neutrality and cost point of view.

Ir CHAN Pak-cheung is the Deputy Director of the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department. He is responsible for overseeing the enforcement of legislations in ensuring public safety on using electricity, gas, lifts and escalators, railway and other electrical and mechanical installations, and promoting energy efficiency and conservation. Ir CHAN has been working in the government for over 30 years and taken up professional and managerial roles in the areas of engineering services, project management and regulatory enforcement. He is a fellow member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers in the building services, electrical and energy disciplines. He received his bachelor degree in electrical and electronics engineering and master degree in building services engineering from the University of Hong Kong.

My Sustainability Goals for 2024:

The HKSAR Government has pledged to achieve carbon neutrality in Hong Kong by 2050. The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) is playing an active role to support this directive in collaboration with stakeholder. Our sustainability goal for the coming year is to continue the efforts in promoting buildings energy efficiency through the uplift of standard in the Building Energy Code and propose legislative enhancement for expanding the scope of regulation. We will also continue to promote the use of green innovative technologies and closely collaborate with stakeholders in various sustainability development areas for the carbon neutrality goal.

Vincent joined the HKSAR Government in 1989. For over three decades he has served in various positions, from policy work relating to insurance, aviation, tourism etc. to administrative head in one of the 18 districts in Hong Kong. He received a Chief Executive’s Commendation for Public Service in Hong Kong for his bravery service in Wuhan when the COVID pandemic broke out in 2020.
Vincent is currently Deputy Commissioner for Labour, taking charge of all Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) related matters in Hong Kong. He leads a team of some 700 professional and supporting staff to carry out enforcement, publicity and education/training work to enhance OSH in the city.

The overall sustainability of Hong Kong relies heavily on the occupational safety and health of its employees in their workplaces. While Hong Kong’s occupational safety and health performance is improving over the past few decades, I would like to see the work safety and health culture across Hong Kong can be further enhanced. By emphasizing education about safety practices, promoting awareness, and enforcing regulations, we can foster a stronger safety and health culture. I would also like to see the widespread adoption of automation and smart monitoring systems in Hong Kong. These technologies not only enhance employee well-being but also create a safer, healthier and more comfortable work environment.

Victoria is a chartered structural engineer and project manager with over 15 years of experience in the construction industry delivering award winning projects across various sectors, including education, commercial, cultural and hospitality. Currently based in the Campus Development Office at The Hong Kong University of Science & Technology, she is responsible for new capital works, master planning and upgrades at the Clear Water Bay campus.

Victoria focuses on developing strong relationships within project teams to create multi-disciplinary design approaches and innovative solutions. Jon Curry is the Vice President of Operations, Asia Pacific, at Digital Realty and leads a professional team of data center operational and engineering talents in the region to ensure the highest level of availability and customer services at its facilities in the Asia Pacific.

In this capacity, Jon also oversees initiatives across APAC to progress Digital Realty’s commitment to sustainably manage its environmental impact and optimize the use of energy and natural resources. He serves on a number of associations and working groups including the Singapore Infocomm Media Development Authority’s “Energy efficiency of DC IT equipment” working group and “Green Mark for Data Centres” taskforce.

Jon joined Digital Realty in 2019 following a 13-year tenure with Telstra Corporation in Australia, where he was responsible for Telstra’s domestic data center capability encompassing strategy, planning, design, construction, and operations. Prior to Telstra Jon held several Management & Technical roles in IT over a 25 year period.

Vivian Wong is a Director in the Real Estate Finance team at HSBC specializing in real estate financings in the APAC region with particular focus on emerging markets (including Vietnam and Indonesia) and has regional responsibility for data centres and ESG strategic initiatives for commercial real estate. Prior to her current role was a Counsel with Clifford Chance in the Banking & Finance department. Vivian is a qualified lawyer in both England & Wales and Hong Kong SAR and graduated from the University of Cambridge with a BA in Laws.

Kannas Lau is the Head of Property Technology at Worldwide Envision Centre (WEC), the leading provider of IoT (Internet of Things) and ESG solutions in the field of property management.

Ir. Peter Mo (MHKIE, MIET, Chartered Engineer, Chartered Marketer) is the Head of Marketing of Schneider Electric Hong Kong with 20+ years of experience in energy management and digitization. He began his career as an engineer and then progressed into varieties of work in Business Development and Marketing in local and regional (APAC) levels.
Peter is now responsible for Offer Marketing of Schneider Electric in Hong Kong and Macau, bringing new technology and innovation to the market.

Mr. Julien Watel graduated with a master’s degree in Energy and Mechanical Engineering at Polytech Marseille University (France). Phoebe Leung is the Senior Sustainable Development Manager of Swire Properties. Her work involves supporting the Company’s Sustainable Development (SD) 2030 Strategy as well as action plans and programmes to improve the company’s overall SD performance.

She leads the planning and execution of Swire Properties’ SD tenant engagement strategy and bespoke tenant programmes, such as the Green Performance Pledge and Green Kitchen Initiative, fostering landlord-tenant partnerships to incorporate sustainability throughout the design, fit-out and occupancy stages.

In addition, she drives the Company’s Resource and Circularity Taskforce, made up of representatives from portfolio teams and hotels, to regularly analyse waste performance and facilitate new initiatives. Dr. Ron NG is a Ph.D. in Chemistry who completed his research under the guidance of Prof. Vincent KO (CHEM, CityU). Throughout his doctoral studies, Dr. NG’s research revolved around the design and synthesis of photo-functional materials, including chemosensors, photocatalysts, mechanoresponsive materials, photoswitching, and photochromic compounds. His work has garnered recognition with over 18 international publications.

After completing his Ph.D., Dr. NG continued his research journey as a Postdoctoral Fellow within Prof. Vincent Ko’s research group. During this time, he focused on knowledge transfer projects, particularly the design and synthesis of Molecular Imprinted Polymers (MIPs) for medical applications. With the guidance of Prof. Vincent KO and Prof. Rudolf WU (Founding Director, State Key Laboratory of Marine Pollution), Dr. NG and his team successfully developed a cutting-edge sensor technology for detecting water deoxygenation.

This startup aims to commercialize its groundbreaking research outputs from the laboratory to tackle the global challenge of water quality monitoring. Notably, Dr. Ng and his team recently achieved a significant breakthrough by introducing a novel method for radionuclide monitoring based on a compact and cost-effective sampling device known as “Artificial Mussels.”

Chris holds a Bachelor of Manufacturing Engineering – BEng (Hon) degree. He is a Member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET) in the Electrical & Manufacturing Disciplines, a Chartered Engineer of the Engineering Council UK (CEng), a Member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (MHKIE) in the Electrical Discipline, a Registered Professional Engineer (RPE) in the Electrical Discipline, and a Registered Electrical Worker (REW).

Currently, Chris serves as the Vice President of the Hong Kong E-Vehicles Business General Association from 2024 to 2026. He is also the Managing Director of the NLSE Group. In 2017, Chris was awarded the prestigious CEO of the Year award by Capital Magazine. Before his current role, he was a former Member of the CPPCC Tianhe Guangzhou 廣州天河區政協委員(第四屆).

With over 28 years of extensive experience in Electrical and Manufacturing Engineering, Chris has established himself as a respected leader and expert.

My Sustainability Goals for 2024:

As the Vice President of the Hong Kong E-Vehicles Business General Association, Chris will work closely with local authorities and real estate developers to facilitate the installation of public charging stations across Hong Kong. His goal is to increase the number of available charging points, making it more convenient for EV owners to charge their vehicles and encouraging more residents to switch to electric mobility.

Additionally, Chris will propose policies that incentivize the installation of home and workplace charging stations. He plans to advocate for the purchase subsidies and tax incentives that would make EVs more affordable for individual consumers.

Dr. Leung is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU), Hong Kong SAR, P. R. China. He concurrently holds the Honorary Associate Professorship in the Faculty of Dentistry at The University of Hong Kong (HKU). He is a Chartered Scientist (CSci), Chartered Chemist (CChem) and Fellow (FRSC) of the Royal Society of Chemistry (United Kingdom) and a member in the State Key Laboratory of Environmental and Biological Analysis at HKBU. He was elected as a Founding Member of The Hong Kong Young Academy of Sciences (FMYASHK) and named as a Fellow of the International Association of Advanced Materials (FIAAM, Sweden).

His research interests are in the fields of nanomaterials chemistry, supramolecular materials, catalysis, sensors, and nanomedicine. He gained his postdoctoral training at the University of California Los Angeles with Nobel Laureate in Chemistry. He was also a visiting scientist at RIKEN, Japan.

Dr. Leung has published over 140 research articles in peer-reviewed international journals with about 8,000 citations and an h-index of 45. He holds 7 patents. He was the recipient of Asian Core Program Lectureship Awards (Japan-2010, South Korea-2012&2019, Mainland China-2017, Singapore-2017, Taiwan-2018), Higher Education Outstanding Scientific Research Output Award (Technology Advancement, First Class) from the Ministry of Education of China (2011), Materials Research Contribution Award from the Asia Pacific Society for Materials Research (2013, 2014 and 2015), Asian Rising Stars Award from the Federation of Asian Chemical Societies (2013), HKBU President’s Award for Outstanding Performance in Research Supervision (2018) and HKU Research Output Prize (2019). In 2022, Dr. Leung was listed in the Global Scholars Academic Influence Ranking.

As the Commercial Director at Propelair, Caren oversees the commercial strategy to drive business growth and profitability for Propelair’s patented low-water toilet technology. By understanding wider market trends, identifying new business opportunities, and managing customer relationships, she ensures long-term success for both Propelair and its customers.

Caren’s core competencies include negotiation, customer relationship management, and product management on a global scale. Lewis Lam is the team leader of the company’s Technology Applications Working Committee and a member of the company’s ESG Committee. He is tasked to explore, apply and develop solutions that could enable more intelligent and greener property management practices. Lewis is a licensed property management services practitioner in Hong Kong and has professionally affiliated with organizations related to real estate and property management.

Mr. Don Tse is Assistant General Manager, Building Operations at Hongkong Land (Property Management) Limited.

With over 20 years of experience in property management, technical services, energy management, and sustainability, he is deeply committed to driving sustainable practices and embracing innovative solutions that contribute to the long-term viability and environmental stewardship of the built environment.

As a Chartered Engineer and a member of HKIE and CIBSE, he currently oversees technical and building sustainability matters for several commercial properties in Central area.

Don is the Secretary of the International Facility Management Association (Hong Kong Chapter), where he is committed to supporting the association’s mission to lead the future of the built environment to make the world a better place.

Don also continues to make a significant impact to the industry, he is the Co-opted Member of Communications & Membership Committee (CMC) and Green Labelling Committee (GLC) of Hong Kong Green Building Council.
