Policy Address 2023 highlighted our city’s ambition towards a liveable, innovative and green Hong Kong. The use of new and innovative technologies and materials for the purposes of achieving such ambition sometimes requires innovative approach to seek approval from the authorities as the approval process are not always prescriptive under current regulations. Collaboration between public and private sectors is vital to leverage the expertise and resources of both sectors to drive approval and the success of the project. Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) emerge as a powerful mechanism to facilitate such collaboration. In this session, we would try to reveal the keys to successful implementation of the PPPs for sustainable building projects, by cases sharing by key stakeholders having experience in driving the collaboration.
