HOSHIZAKI CORPORATION was founded in 1947 in Japan and is the world’s leading provider of commercial kitchen equipment with the management philosophy that “Good products come from a good environment.” In recent years, HOSHIZAKI has focused on developing energy-saving, and eco-friendly products to end-users. Aim to reduce waste of un-reusable bottle drinks, our drink dispenser series has been designed to serve a diverse range of hot and cold beverage options, including tea, coffee, energy drinks, and various soups, featuring a water outlet designed to accommodate 500ml reuseable bottles by encouraging customers to bring their own containers with a successful customer base of more than 6,000 clients accumulated in various locations across Japan, including offices, staff canteens, hair salons, beauty centres, non-governmental organizations, hospitals, and elderly centres.

HOSHIZAKI HONG KONG CO., LTD. is a subsidiary of HOSHIZAKI CORPORATION responsible for sales and after-sales service support in the Hong Kong and Macau markets. In response to global warming, our ice machines and refrigerators are gradually transitioning from traditional high-fluorocarbon (HFC) refrigerants R134 and R404 to natural hydrocarbon (HC) refrigerant R290. In alignment with the Hong Kong Environmental Protection Department’s “Bring Your Own Containers (BYOC) Eateries” Scheme, we are planning to launch a drink dispenser in Hong Kong to encourage people to bring their own containers and promote reusable practices.

 

Our sustainability goals for 2025:

1. To contribute to the reduction of Global Warming Potential, we aim to convert 80% of our ice machines and refrigerators from R134 and R404 refrigerants to R290 natural refrigerants.

2. To launch a new drink dispenser designed to accommodate 500ml bottles reuseable container, in alignment with the Hong Kong Environmental Protection Department’s “Bring Your Own Containers (BYOC) Eateries” Scheme.

3. To enhance environmental sustainability, we will develop a “paperless policy” for internal digital archiving and storage in cloud systems, transitioning promotional materials to digital formats.

4. To explore partnership opportunities with eco-friendly vendors or engage in direct procurement for reusable containers and sustainable materials.
