Ten years ago, a small team in Hong Kong came together with a shared belief that cherishing the place we call home was worthy of collective action. With deep gratitude, The Green Earth (TGE) celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. Under the theme A Decade of Impact, this milestone marks both a reflection on our achievements over the past decade and an invitation to co-create a more sustainable future together.
As a part of anniversary celebrations, we are pleased to introduce the Carbon Reduction Challenge—a simple, employee driven initiative designed to deliver measurable environmental impact while supporting corporate ESG objectives. This three-week programme offers a practical and accessible platform for organisations to mobilise employees through collective low carbon actions. Participants will practise designated carbon reduction actions integrated into their workplace and daily routines, with results converted into estimated carbon reduction figures. Each participating company will receive a dedicated Carbon Reduction Report of the challenge.
By joining the Challenge, organisations can actively support The Green Earth’s environmental mission while advancing key ESG priorities, particularly climate action and employee engagement. The programme demonstrates corporate commitment on sustainability through organisation wide participation and employee’s empowerment to contribute directly to sustainability goals, fostering long lasting low carbon behaviours beyond the programme period.
