2025 Sustainability Report
EnviroEvents (ReThink) Limited
EnviroEvents (ReThink) Limited is pleased to present our third annual Sustainability Report. This is a transparent account of our environmental, social, and governance journey as we accelerate toward net-zero. True to ReThink HK’s mission of advancing sustainable development in Hong Kong, this Report shares not only our progress and the challenges we have navigated, but also the evolving goals that will shape our path ahead. We hope it continues to spark meaningful dialogue across the industry and inspire collective action.
Highlights of the Report
97% Score in Green Events Certification
ReThink HK 2025 earned the Green Events Certification with an outstanding 97% score, recognized by The Green Earth and SGS for exemplary sustainable and environmentally responsible practices.
Operational Emissions Reduced by 13% Despite Event Growth
While total carbon emissions rose due to a 174% surge in international attendance, our directly controllable emissions (excluding attendee travel) dropped to 61,778 kgCO₂e – a 13% reduction compared to 2024. This demonstrates that our reduction strategies are effective even as ReThink HK continues to expand.
Energy Intensity Cut by 68% Since 2021
Despite an 18% larger event floor area, we reduced venue electricity usage by 8.9%, bringing energy consumption down from 15.88 kWh/sqm (2021) to 5.16 kWh/sqm (2025) – already near our 2026 reduction target of 70%.
Better Stands Programme: Zero Disposable Booths
In our first full launch of the Better Stands Initiative, 60% of raw-space exhibitors achieved “Gold Standard” for fully reusable or recyclable booths, and critically, zero exhibitors fell into the “Disposable” category – a major industry milestone.
FSC™ Certification – A Rigorous Chain-of-Custody First
We secured the right to use the FSC trademark, ensuring that every organiser‑produced material – from honeycomb boards to signage – comes from certified sources and certified printers, a major supply chain milestone.
Net-Zero Roadmap – Accelerating Progress
– Waste per attendee dropped to 0.31 kg (target: 0.4 kg by 2026).
– On-site recycling rate improved to 58% (up from 49% in 2024), on track toward our 70% target.
Community Impact & Youth Empowerment
Through the ReThink Foundation, HK$450,000 of delegate fees funded three collaborative NGO projects reaching the Deaf community, social inclusion data frameworks, and underserved youth. Our volunteer programme attracted over 160 applicants, with students gaining hands-on experience and full access to inspire the next generation of sustainability leaders.
