A Plastic Ocean Foundation is a marine science based registered charity. Our mission is to recover the ocean habitat and biodiversity of Hong Kong through science and education.

 

Our sustainability goals for 2024:

Coral Guard: Conduct 25 seafloor regeneration operations, remove 7 tonnes of ghost nets (equivalent to 7,000 square meters), and rescue 180 coral fragments.

Black Soldier Fly (BSF) Initiative: Rescue 3 tonnes of food waste through BSF programs and establish 18 BSF facilities across Hong Kong.

Bamboo Planting: Plant 2,500 bamboo plants.

Ocean Literacy Education: Engage 50,000 students in ocean literacy programs
