Rachel Handley

Specializing in International Hotel and Resort Management, Rachel combines her expertise in hospitality with her passion for sustainability, which is demonstrated through her work as Sustainability Consultant at 2041 Hong Kong. Besides that, as one of the youngest individuals to be promoted to a managerial position at a luxury 5-Star hotel, she was also the first to spearhead the integration of ESG and Quality responsibilities and projects. Her initiatives range from seamlessly integrating greener practices into the hotel’s operations, to the regular learning and development of staff on ESG principles, thus empowering significant positive change within the sector and beyond.

My sustainability goals for 2024 – 2025:

To achieve an enhanced recognition of the value of sustainability within the hospitality industry, strive towards the conservation of natural heritage and biodiversity through sustainable tourism and educate and empower youth to become environmentally conscious leaders driving long-term ecological preservation.
