Founder & CEO
Grace Cheng is the founder and CEO of Agewhale. Inspired by her experience caring for her grandparents, she established Agewhale to assist families in navigating elder care. Her vision is for Agewhale to emerge as the leading social innovator in family caregiver support, transforming caregiving into a positive experience for all. Agewhale has received seed funding from the Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks Corporation and The Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Fund.
Grace’s expertise in caregiving has been recognized through her invitation to speak at TEDxTinHauWomen 2023, her role as an advisor for Resolve’s Fellowship Program, and her participation in the Professional Fellows Program 2024 funded by the US Department of State.
Prior to founding Agewhale, Grace was the General Manager of the Fair Employment Agency, where she worked to reinvent the standards of the migrant domestic worker recruitment industry. Grace graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences.
My Sustainability Goals for 2024:
1. Improve the well-being of older persons and their family caregivers.
2. Advocate support for caregivers in the workplace to balance family responsibilities and career advancements.
3. Raise public awareness of the importance of proactive care planning.
