EnviroEvents (ReThink) Limited is proud to publish our second Sustainability Report (the “Report”), which comprehensively discloses our environmental, social, and governance strategy, as well as setting goals for our event to become net-zero. In line with ReThink HK’s commitment to drive sustainable development in Hong Kong, this Report aims to not only stimulate debate across a wide group of stakeholders within the industry, but also communicate the Company’s progress, challenges, and goals for the future.
Highlights of the Report
- Carbon Emissions Reduced by 15% Per Attendee
Despite a 22% growth in attendance, ReThink HK 2024 cut emissions per attendee by 15% (vs. 2023) and 46% (vs. 2021 baseline year), showcasing progress toward net-zero goals. - 150 Tonnes of Carbon Offset Locally
Partnered with Kadoorie Farm & Botanic Garden to sequester 150,000 kg CO₂e through a sponsored biochar programme and tree planting — exceeding event emissions to host a carbon-neutral event, while supporting Hong Kong’s biodiversity. - Pioneering Sustainable Events with Better Stands
Piloted the Better Stands Initiative, 43% of raw-space exhibitors achieved “Gold Standard” for reusable/recyclable booths. - Net-Zero Roadmap – Setting Targets
– By 2026 reduce emissions per attendee by 50% vs. 2021 baseline
– Cut plastic wrap usage by 15% for 2025
– Reduce recycling contamination by 50% for 2025 - Community Impact & Youth Empowerment
HK$450,000 of delegate fees funded NGO impact projects and capacity-building programmes through the ReThink Foundation, and engaged 143 students via internship and volunteer programs.
