We also offer carbon-neutral KONE DX Class elevators and carbon-neutral KONE Care™ DX maintenance. We help our customers obtain green building certificates such as LEED and BREEAM. KONE was the first company to achieve the best A-class energy efficiency classification.
Most of the KONE elevators have the highest energy efficiency rating of A Class ISO 25745 while escalators have the best A+++ rating. Our current machine-room-less volume elevator, KONE MonoSpace is up to 90% more energy efficient than that in the ’90s.
KONE targets a 40% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions related to the materials and lifetime energy use of our products. We have also committed to a 50% cut in the emissions from our own operations and pledged to have carbon-neutral operations. Both targets are set for 2030 and have been verified and approved by the Science Based Targets initiative.
