Andy Cheung

Andy Cheung was born in 1970. He joined Hitachi East Asia Ltd. in May 2001 after the accumulating work experience in another Japanese MNC. He began his career at Hitachi in HR professions where he played a key role in driving HR transformation across the Hitachi Group in Greater China region.

In 2018, Mr Cheung was appointed General Manager for New Business Developments. In this role, he successfully led the deployment of Hong Kong’s first automation cell culture facility, contributing significantly to the development of the local cell and gene therapy ecosystem and advancing innovation in life science in Hong Kong.

From 1 April 2026, Mr Cheung was appointed as Managing Director and he was responsible for Hitachi Group business developments and promote the digitalization solutions under Hitachi global strategy.
