Carol Mo

Carol is the Chief Investment & ALM Officer of Chow Tai Fook Life Insurance Company Limited (“CTF Life”). She also serves on the Hong Kong Federation of Insurers Task Force on Green Insurance. She has 20 years of professional experience in investment management and asset allocation for insurance companies. Carol possessed in-depth understanding and solid experience in assets selection, insurance asset accounting, investment legal, SAA and ALM.

Carol is also recognized as an alternative investment specialist. She led the acquisition of several core infrastructure assets globally including the Tai Lam Tunnel in Hong Kong (2009), en-bloc Bishopsgate 99 development in London (2015), and en-bloc acquisition of office building China Life Center situated in Hung Hom (2016). Carol also led the pre-IPO acquisition of Alibaba and private acquisition in TPG Capital GP stakes. She possesses in-depth knowledge in HKEX Listing Rules and SFC Ordinance.

Carol actively contributes to the broader finance community by serving on the AsianInvestor Editorial Advisory Board to provide strategic advice on shaping the industry themes. Her experience is also recognized through her roles as a judge for AsianInvestor Asset Management Awards (2024, 2025) and FinanceAsia Awards (2025) evaluating excellence across the industry. Carol is a frequent speaker for 100 Women in Finance where she contributes insights and promote diversity in the finance community. Carol is one of the top 3 finalist of Woman of Influence Award 2025.

Carol is instrumental in implementing ESG considerations throughout the investment process. She had served on the board of several investee companies offering practical governance experience relevant to stewardship and sustainability. She contributed hands-on experience in embedding sustainability into corporations to the Task Force on Green Insurance, where she actively contributed to the development of the Insurance Industry Climate Charter and climate risk disclosures in the insurance industry.

Carol possesses Bachelor of Business Administration (Information Systems Management) from the HKUST and Master in Investments from the University of Birmingham, U.K.
