Frank Wan

Frank Wan is a Partner with ERM and is a Chartered Waste Manager with the Institution of Wastes Management in the UK and the former Chairman of the Hong Kong Waste Management Association.

He has over 30 years of experience in undertaking studies on waste policy, engineering feasibility and EIA for waste infrastructure projects, and waste and environmental audits for various infrastructure developments. Relevant project experience including producer responsibility schemes, waste charging, organic waste collection, waste transfer stations, materials recovery and recycling facilities, thermal treatment and energy recovery of MSW, chemical waste, clinical waste, sewage sludges and animal carcasses, and landfill development and management in Hong Kong and Asia Pacific region.

My Sustainability Goals for 2022:

I would like to assist the waste industry and the society in promoting waste avoidance and minimisation, and implementing waste management practices which have lower carbon emissions and will not cause adverse impacts to the environment and sensitive receivers.
