Mr. Tsang Wai-Wah Martin graduated from the Electronic Engineering Department of The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2005. In 2010, he founded EV Power, Hong Kong’s first universal EV charger and charging network company. Under his leadership, EV Power quickly became the city’s leading EV charging service provider and expanded into mainland China in 2014. Within three years, it achieved remarkable success as a top charging operator in the region. Recognized for his industry expertise, Mr. Tsang was appointed CEO of Hubject Limited, the world’s largest electronic roaming charging network for EVs. In just two years, he connected over 200,000 EV charging points and helped Chinese automotive companies expand into global markets.

In 2021, Mr. Tsang returned to Hong Kong’s innovation and technology sector with renewed passion, founding HALO Energy Limited. Leveraging over a decade of experience, he launched the “Halo” charging platform, powered by HALO’s universal EV load management system that supports diverse EV charger brands. HALO has rapidly grown amid the global shift toward electric mobility and climate action, becoming a key incubatee under the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park’s Acceleration Programme . HALO is actively partnering with major real estate developers, global energy giant Shell and Global consulting firm – ARUP, aiming to lead the development of supercharging stations. Mr. Tsang continues to drive HALO toward becoming a global integrated EV charging operator, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to sustainable innovation.

My Sustainability Goals for 2025:

  1. Increase of the electric vehicle popularity to over 50% in 5 to 10 years time.
  2.  Have more NET-ZERO charging stations by using renewable energy or green energy by 2030.
  3. Manage of EV Charging with energy storage can help to improve the grid demand in future.
