Pascal Siu

Our Hong Kong Foundation

Senior Research Manager, Head of Green & Sustainability

Mr. Pascal Siu leads the Green and Sustainability research team at Our Hong Kong Foundation, while also covering financial, arts, and cultural developments in Hong Kong. Dedicated to advancing sustainable policy, he works to bring vital yet overlooked topics into the public eye, as demonstrated by his recent research reports on hydrogen development and green mega events. A frequent contributor to public discourse, Mr. Siu regularly publishes commentary in newspapers and serves as a guest speaker, moderator, and panelist at academic and industry forums.

Prior to joining OHKF, Mr. Siu served as an economist at Natixis and within the Financial Secretary’s Office of the HKSAR Government. In these roles, he focused on monetary and fiscal trends across Greater China and Emerging Asia, while providing in-depth analyses of Hong Kong’s property market and macroeconomic forecasts.

My Sustainability Goals for 2026:

  • Government to incorporate “Green Mega Events” into the upcoming update of Hong Kong’s Climate Action Plan 2050 and introduce a “green bonus” to key funding schemes (e.g., “M” Mark, Mega ACE) to incentivize organizers to adopt green practices.
  • Popularise the use of hydrogen by scaling successful pilot projects into large-scale deployment while developing high-value-added industry services like testing and certification for hydrogen purity and equipment.
