A4S Workshop for Finance: Nature and Introduction to TNFD

This interactive workshop will provide an overview of the global nature landscape and the urgent need for action, introduce the Taskforce for Nature-Related Financial Disclosure (TNFD), explore the role of finance and sustainability professionals, and equip participants with the knowledge and ideas to develop actionable steps to get started in embedding nature considerations into organizations’ strategies and operations.
A key component of the workshop will be to discuss approaches and challenges with other participants to enable peer exchange, as well as insights and practical examples.

  • Take away some ideas on how to embed nature considerations into your organizations’ strategies and operations ​
  • Introduce the Taskforce for Nature-Related Financial Disclosure (TNFD) recommendations and examples​
  • Explore the role of finance/sustainability professionals in valuing, protecting and restoring nature​
  • Develop actionable steps to get started

Participants should ideally be at sufficiently senior level positions in their organizations to enable a high level understanding of their business operations to relate to their nature considerations.

Post-Event Actions:

  • Describe the importance of understanding and embedding nature related considerations into organizations
  • Understand the role of finance/sustainability professionals in enabling the valuing, protecting and restoring nature
  • Develop actionable steps to get started on embedding in their own organizations

Session Information:

Duration: 2.5 hours (Session commences at 10.15)

Workshop capacity: Up to 32 participants

Format: In person, in working groups/tables of 6 to 8 per table group

Target audience: Finance, accounting and sustainability professionals with involvement in corporate reporting. Given workshop space capacity, places will be limited to two (2) attendees per organization and successful registrants will receive confirmation of their attendance.
