Director, Asia Pacific

Pooi Funn MOONG is the Director for Asia Pacific and leads A4S activities, including the A4S CFO Leadership Network, in the region, supporting CFOs and finance teams to embed sustainability.

Prior to joining A4S, Pooi Funn was at Deloitte professional services and assisting organisations on reporting, internal controls, business processes, risk management and governance. She has worked with a wide range of organisations in the global financial services industry, has held regional roles and led complex projects involving cross-border and cross-functional teams in the UK, Middle East, and Southeast Asia.

Pooi Funn is a Fellow Chartered Accountant, member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), and member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).

Accounting for Sustainability (A4S) works with the global finance community to drive a fundamental shift towards resilient business models and a sustainable economy. We operate key networks including the A4S CFO Leadership Network, asset owners and accounting bodies to inspire action, transform decision making and scale up action towards resilient business models and a sustainable economy. Since its establishment A4S has played a central role transforming the finance and accounting landscape, inspiring finance leaders and convening the financial system to drive collaboration and accelerate change.

Elizabeth is a chartered accountant and sustainability professional with over 20 years of cross-industry experience working in consultancy and in-house roles covering Asia Pacific, Europe, North America and the Middle East.

At A4S, she is responsible for the development and implementation of knowledge and technical programmes, including the A4S Nature Guidance series and the A4S Academy for accounting and finance professionals. Her experience spans across sustainability/ESG strategy formulation, governance and management practices, and reporting and communications.

She has led various learning and development programmes on sustainability/ESG for corporates and finance professionals and managed large-scale environmental and social impact projects involving multiple stakeholders.
