The ConTech and PropTech track at The ReThink HK 2025 Start-Up Pitching session, organized in collaboration with The Mills Fabrica, highlights innovative startups and solutions within the construction and property sectors. This platform offers emerging companies a valuable opportunity to present their ideas to an exclusive audience, receive expert feedback, and connect with key industry stakeholders.

Focusing on innovation, business scalability, technological advancement, sustainability, and impact, this year’s innovations span from life-care widgets to urban planting solution. Each team will present a 5-minute pitch, followed by an open-floor Q&A session with the judges and audience.

Cintia Nunes

The Mills Fabrica

General Manager, Head of Asia

Cintia Nunes is the General Manager and Head of Asia of The Mills Fabrica. As the innovation engine to sustainability and impact of Hong Kong conglomerate Nan Fung Group, Cintia leads the team to connect innovators in the techstyle and agrifood tech space with capital, connections, and expertise — to bring sustainability tech innovations from concept to market.

Drawing inspiration from social business principles that prioritize both profitability and purpose, she is committed to facilitating collaboration among stakeholders across the ecosystem to advance positive environmental and social impact at scale.

Before joining The Mills Fabrica, Cintia served as Chief of Strategy and Growth at Hong Kong’s largest network of social enterprises and impact ventures. She also held leadership roles at a multinational FMCG company where she formalized business strategies for over 10 brands.

Phoebe Leung

Swire Properties Limited

Senior Sustainable Development Manager

Phoebe Leung is the Senior Sustainable Development Manager of Swire Properties. Her work involves supporting the Company’s Sustainable Development (SD) 2030 Strategy as well as action plans and programmes to improve the company’s overall SD performance.

She leads the planning and execution of Swire Properties’ SD tenant engagement strategy and bespoke tenant programmes, such as the Green Performance Pledge and Green Kitchen Initiative, fostering landlord-tenant partnerships to incorporate sustainability throughout the design, fit-out and occupancy stages.

In addition, she drives the Company’s Resource and Circularity Taskforce, made up of representatives from portfolio teams and hotels, to regularly analyse waste performance and facilitate new initiatives. She leads the development of new partnerships and innovations to design out waste, encourage reuse and enhance resource recovery. Her recent projects include the Taikoo Place Smart Reusable Cup and Food Box Programme, and launching the Smart Waste Reduction Challenge which utilises smart scales and a digital engagement platform to gamify the Company’s collective sustainability journey with tenants.

Phoebe is a Chartered Environmentalist and also holds a Master of Public Administration from Columbia University.

Shirley Wong is Director of Marketing Communications and Business Development at Schneider Electric, and currently serves on the Management Committee of Schneider Electric Hong Kong. She is responsible for leading the strategic direction and execution of marketing communications to drive brand equity and commercial impact — while also advancing business development through market positioning, strategic partnerships, and customer engagement initiatives.

A highly experienced marketer, Shirley is passionate about leveraging the unique role of today’s communicators to deliver a holistic ecosystem approach to sustainability communications. Her expertise in community building, digital transformation, and strategic business development has been instrumental in elevating the Schneider Electric brand and forging meaningful partnerships. By aligning market insights with commercial strategy, she helps identify growth opportunities, strengthen customer engagement, and accelerate the company’s impact across key industries—advancing Schneider Electric’s commitment to a more sustainable and inclusive future.

Prior to joining Schneider Electric in 2018, Shirley held various marketing positions with the Construction Industry Council, CLP Power, Amore Pacific – Innisfree, and Ogilvy, overseeing brand strategy, PR and media relations, events management, partnerships and advertising.

Desmond Ho

Desmond Ho named “Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia 2020 – Entrepreneur”. He is a serial entrepreneur specialising in AI and drone technology. In 2017, he Initiated a crowdsourcing and financing platform to expedite the social infrastructure development in Myanmar. In 2021, he founded Alpha AI which is the 1st HK startup that obtained the BVLOS License under the Low Altitude Economy (LAE) sandbox, utilising locally developed AI and 3D technology for building, slope and confined space inspection with the company admitted into Cyberport Incubation Program. He graduated from the University of Cambridge with a background in urban planning and economics. He served as the Vice President of the Cyberport Startup Alumni Association from 2022 to 2023.

Jeff is Co-Founder and COO of Haykozé, developer of the Air Ring 49 (AR49), an award-winning biomedical cooling innovation preventing heat stress in construction. AR49 secured the prestigious James Dyson Award (National Winner, Top 20 International), Qianhai Youth Entrepreneurship Award, and showcases at the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions, MEET Taipei, and HKTDC’s E-day.

With faith he drives Haykozé’s engineering, business, and strategy—leading prototyping, fundraising, investor negotiation, marketing, and patenting. Works have been featured by Smithsonian Magazine, MingPao, and HOY TV.
With professional design experience at Ho & Partners Architects in Hong Kong and Mendanha & Sousa Construction in Ghana, he brings international perspective across architecture, product design, and business development. He has also received the Eric Lye Memorial Travelling Scholarship and George William Hong Choy Memorial Scholarship from The University of Hong Kong.

His work integrates smart plant care, data-driven sustainability, and community-driven design, making green innovation both accessible and impactful.

Mr. Joseph Tsang is a Chartered Civil Engineer with a Master’s degree with distinction in Integrated Project Delivery and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Hong Kong. He has extensive experience in construction management, engineering design, and handling construction claims in complex projects, including the Central Kowloon Route (Central Tunnel), T2 Truck Road Project, the Inter-Reservoirs Transfer Scheme, the Tuen Mun-Chek Lap Kok Link Northern Connection Sub-sea Tunnel Section, etc.

His industry insights and experience in integrating innovative technologies like BIM and AI were pivotal in developing VisionBuilder, a 4D data management platform designed to enhance construction productivity. Collaborating with industry advisors, data scientists, deep learning experts, and VDC specialists, Joseph’s work on VisionBuilder contributed to his recognition as Young Tunneller of the Year in 2020, awarded by the New Civil Engineer magazine from the Institution of Civil Engineers, where he was a Top-8 finalist among worldwide competitors. More importantly, Joseph and his team secured over eight industry awards and recognitions, including the HKSTP Incu-App, HKU TSSSU, CityUE Tech300, iDendron GearUp, PwC TechRaiser, etc., in four years. By linking the construction industry, technology sector, and academia, Joseph continues to strive for improved project efficiency and safety in construction.

She is the certified carbon auditor from the UK Energy Institute and fellow member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and the Hong Kong Institute of Arbitrators She has over 10 years of project management experiences for different types of NGOs and IT system integrator and ClimateTech company. She graduated from the City University of Hong Kong with the degree of Master of Laws in Arbitration and Dispute Resolution.
