Since establishing Mystic Island Winery in Qiushan Valley, we have sought to create lasting value beyond the boundaries of our estate. This includes providing stable employment for local farmers and developing skills connected to vineyard management, winemaking and hospitality.
Training is central to this approach. By bringing together local employees and experienced viticulture and winemaking professionals, we can share knowledge, build capability and create opportunities for people to develop alongside the estate.
We also believe that a growing wine region should create opportunities for women and encourage younger generations to see a future in the countryside. When rural communities offer meaningful employment and pathways for development, young people have more reasons to remain, return and contribute their ideas and energy.
This strengthens more than one business. It helps preserve local knowledge, supports families and builds the capabilities needed for the wider region to grow responsibly.
