Wayne Fong

Wayne Fong joined Prudential Hong Kong in 2021 as Senior Director and Head of Corporate Affairs. In this role, Wayne oversees the strategic planning and implementation of Corporate, External and Internal Communications, Corporate Social Responsibility, Corporate Sponsorship, Trade and Government Relations for Prudential’s business in Hong Kong. He also serves as the Chairperson of Prudential Hong Kong ESG Taskforce, where he plays an instrumental role in driving the strategies of the company’s sustainability, community investment, and Diversity & Inclusion in Hong Kong.

Wayne possesses extensive experience in media relations, public affairs, branding and communications, which he has acquired from both in-house and global PR consultancies. Prior to joining Prudential, Wayne was Head of Corporate Affairs at Citi Hong Kong, where he had enjoyed a long tenure of 16 years. He also worked at Weber Shandwick Worldwide and Ruder Finn, where he served a wide range of clients across different industries including technology, corporate and finance.

Wayne holds bachelor’s degrees in Applied Science (Electrical Engineering) from the University of British Columbia.

My Sustainability Goals for 2026:

• I would like to see a future where every Hong Kong citizen recognises that sustainability is a shared responsibility. When millions of small actions come together, they can become one of the city’s most powerful forces for reducing emissions and building a more resilient future.
• I would also like to see Hong Kong become Asia’s leading hub for high-integrity carbon markets, setting the benchmark for transparency, credibility and innovation while accelerating investment in the region’s low-carbon transition.
