Tech Talks: Sustainable Energy/ Energy Efficiency

Beena is the CEO and Co-Founder of CCU International. CCU International provide next generation carbon capture technology that captures and utilises carbon dioxide from industry emissions.

Beena is a multi-award-winning professional who sits on multiple international boards including the Society for Low Carbon Technologies and Carbon Capture Storage Brazil. Having worked in multiple industries, her experience has taken her to various locations around the world. Industries including oil & gas, renewables, manufacturing, construction, and healthcare.

Beena has proven experience in managing high growth and innovative businesses, developing climate change programmes, and driving net zero strategy for businesses. She is a professional with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), a Postgraduate in Psychology and is a qualified Carbon management specialist.

Antonio Chan is currently the Deputy Managing Director of REC Engineering Group oversees the entire operation composed of REC Engineering Co. Ltd., REC Engineering Contracting Co. Ltd., REC (China) Co. Ltd., REC M&E Engineering (Shanghai) Co. Ltd., REC Engineering Co. Ltd. (Macao Branch), REC Building Services (Macao) Ltd., REC Green Technologies Co. Ltd., REC Green Energy Solutions Co. Ltd., REC Environmental Technology (Guangzhou) Co. Ltd., Tin Sing Chemical Engineers Ltd, O-Link International Co. Ltd. and Hoi Fai Lift Engineering & Services Ltd.

Antonio has been in the industry for more than 30 years and has been working in various professions including consultants, contractors and developers. He has been working in Hong Kong, China Mainland, Singapore as well as United Kingdom.

Tung Wong is currently the Head of Marketing at Signify Hong Kong (formerly known as Philips Lighting). Tung is a seasoned marketing leader specializing in smart home and smart cities technologies and is passionate in finding innovative ways in turning the business to growth trajectory. Tung is dedicated to leading the team to accelerate the deployment of highly energy saving system and solution to support Hong Kong to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 and pioneer in circular economy in lighting industry to reducing waste to landfill. Tung holds a MSc in Electronic Engineering degree from HKUST.
