Ivy Lau

Ivy is the Head of Sustainable Finance at Mizuho Securities Asia Limited.  Based in Hong Kong, she leads and drives the overall ESG initiatives and efforts in the Asia Pacific region with a focus on capital markets and banking products.  She engages actively with government authorities, regulators, financial institutions and corporates, and advises on their ESG frameworks, as well as decarbonisation strategies and sustainability roadmaps.

Prior to joining Mizuho, Ivy was the General Manager of the East Asia region at Climate Bonds Initiative (CBI), an international not-for-profit organisation, which is a pioneer in the ESG development globally.  During her 5-year tenure, she drove CBI’s business development and policy advisory efforts and helped establish CBI’s China office.  Ivy led on forging strategic partnerships with key stakeholders in green and sustainable finance in Greater China, Japan and South Korea.
