Ms. Theresa Wu has over 25 years’ experience in the planning, design and project management of large-scale waste-to-energy/resources recovery infrastructures, including the sewage sludge and waste incineration facilities (T·PARK, I·PARK1 & I·PARK2), the Organic Resources Recovery and WEEE Recovery Centres (O·PARK1, O·PARK2 and WEEE·PARK). She has also involved in the formulation and implementation of various waste reduction and environmental policies. Before joining the Government of the HKSARG, she was a consulting engineer responsible for drainage and sewerage master plan studies, upgrading of wastewater treatment plants, design of sewerage network for the development of Hong Kong Disneyland.

My Sustainability Goals for 2025:

By 2035, develop and implement sufficient waste-to-energy and waste-to-resources infrastructure to enable a zero-landfill future, ensuring that municipal solid waste is managed through sustainable, circular, and low-carbon pathways.
