As environmental accountability becomes increasingly important, integrating nature valuation into business frameworks is essential for sustainable development. This session, titled “Integrating Nature Valuation and Monitoring: Lessons from TNFD and Beyond,” will focus on the principles of valuing nature and the necessity of reflecting ecological assets on balance sheets. Participants will explore the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) and its relevance for businesses, governments and NGOs, and other methods and applications of nature valuation. By examining innovative valuation methods and monitoring practices, the session aims to provide insights for embedding nature into financial decision-making and corporate governance.
