How to achieve Carbon Net-Zero for your events?

We have put our full efforts to reduce waste and carbon footprints in the first place. But what about those unavoidable carbon footprints generated during the event process?

Earth Production is initiating a Carbon Calculator for the Hong Kong MICE sector, helping event organisers measure, report, and minimise the environmental impact of their events of all scales systematically.

The objective of the MICE Carbon Calculator is to map the relevant greenhouse gas emissions comprehensively and to provide event organisers in Hong Kong with a complete picture of carbon emissions arising from their events.

Apart from ISO 20121 guideline, to cope with the digital trend and the prevalence of hybrid events, it will also calculate the energy consumption of live-streaming events and online content sharing.

With the help of big data, small and medium-sized event organisers could estimate and offset their carbon footprint by benchmarking themselves against other organisations across the industry.

The calculation report helps event organisers identify areas for continuous improvement and advise the best practice of sustainable events by communicating their decarbonisation performance to the attendees, sponsors and stakeholders.

We committed to influencing the local event industry to take collective actions against climate change and achieve carbon-neutral target by 2050 as enshrined in the Paris Agreement.

We are delighted to invite all community parties, including the government, event organisers, universities, financial institutions, corporations, venues owners, charities and NGOs to join our decarbonisation initiatives.
