OneSky for all children (OneSky), a global NGO, started The P. C. Lee OneSky Global Centre for Early Childhood Development in Hong Kong in 2020. The Centre aims to empower caregivers of children aged 0-6 from low-income families by providing parenting and early childhood care training to support their children’s growth. The Centre is located in Sham Shui Po, a low-resourced district where inequality and limited public childcare services make access to quality early care and education especially challenging.

By offering a wide range of early education programs, responsive childcare services, parent-child activities, caregiver support, consultation, and referral services within a parenting-friendly, playful, and inspiring environment, we encourage caregivers and children to play, learn, and grow together. Additionally, the Centre fosters a professional and supportive network by educating community caregivers. Together with our partners, we are working towards a brighter future for vulnerable young children in Hong Kong – strengthening families and the community of care around them.

Our sustainability goals for 2025:

  1. OneSky is dedicated to providing high-quality early childhood development and care. We ensure all children from marginalized communities are well-prepared for primary school by fostering nurturing learning environments where they can truly grow and thrive. (SDG 4)
  2. We empower marginalized families, predominantly women, with skills through our comprehensive caregiver training programs, enhancing their economic stability and reducing vulnerability. By creating a nurturing space where children can grow and thrive, we also equip them with crucial early development skills, laying a level playing field for future educational opportunities. (SDG 1, 5, and 8)
  3. OneSky champions good health and well-being by providing a nurturing and relaxing Community Living Room for families living in cramped housing to recharge, supported by our diverse range of facilities and services that build strong community connections.
  4. We address the challenges of inadequate housing of our community, aiming to improve the overall physical and mental well-being of young children and their families from marginalized families. (SDG 3)
