Vivian Lee

Vivian has served as both in-house sustainability expert and consultant to bring innovative solutions and multi-dimensional perspectives to enhance corporate / project’s sustainability profile. She has worked on many climate risk and adaptation projects and is passionate about advancing net zero and nature positive initiatives.

Government has stronger policy support on decarbonization and more organisations take faster actions to reduce emissions

YU Ching Yan, Johnny

Head of Sustainability

Mr Yu Ching Yan, Johnny joined the Company in 2020 as the advisor to Chairman. Prior to joining the Company, Mr Yu held various senior positions with UBS, Credit Suisse and Price Waterhouse in both Hong Kong and London. He brought 28 years of extensive experience covering multiple disciplines including sales and marketing, investment advisory, accounting, tax and risk management and control. He leads the sustainability development of the Company and won the prestigious Business Leadership in Sustainability Award at the Asia Pacific Leadership in Green Building Awards 2022, organised by the World Green Building Council (WorldGBC). He also provides strategic advisory on property sales and marketing, policy formulation, digital transformation and innovation. Mr Yu graduated from The London School of Economics and Political Science, University of London with a bachelor’s degree in Management Science and attained his MBA degree in Finance with City University of London. He is a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and Chartered Financial Analyst Institute.

My sustainability goals for 2023:

  • Henderson Land Development Company Limited’s 2030 Sustainability Vision, ‘G.I.V.E.’, has four primary drivers: Green for Planet, Innovation for Future, Value for People and Endeavour for Community, aligning with our commitments to the UNSDGs.

Simon Law

Assistant General Manager (Innovation)

Dr. Simon Law’s main role is to identify deep technology solutions for the group’s adoptions. He was previously the Director for Universities and Institutions for the HKSTP where he led the effort to develop and implement programs to engage renowned universities and institutes to identify collaboration opportunities for technology commercialization with HKSTP.

He joined the Technology Transfer Center (TTC) at the Hong Kong University and Science and Technology (HKUST) in 2010, where he eventually assumed the position of the Director of TTC and Chief Executive Officer of the HKUST R and D Corporation Limited, with responsibilities for the University’s intellectual property management, patent portfolio development, patent licensing, academic-industrial collaboration, technology commercialization and technology based entrepreneurship, startup incubation and funding schemes including setting up the university’s investment fund for deep technology startups.

Steven Au

Deputy General Manager, Project Department, Hong Kong Property Division

Steven Au serves as the Deputy General Manager of Nan Fung Development Ltd. He is a member of the HKIE, IStructE & RPE. He has over 20 years of experience in project management and strategic planning for large-scale high-rise commercial retail, office and residential development portfolio in HK, Macau and China.

My Sustainability Goals for 2023:

I would like to see more sustainability initiatives and pioneer exemplar projects that could help to shape a better green culture in Hong Kong and promoting good social return to our community.
